We're Andrea and Gerardo, the owners of La Generosa (Callejón El Zorzal 170, Lago Puelo, Chubut, Argentina). This is a small, family-run rental — not a corporation. Here's how we handle your personal data, in plain language.

What we collect

• Booking data: your name, email, phone number, number of guests and the dates of your stay. We need this to confirm your reservation and get in touch with you.
• Messages: if you write to us by WhatsApp or email, we keep those conversations so we can answer you and follow up on your booking.
• Technical data: basic analytics (page visits, approximate country) collected anonymously to understand how the site is used. No individual tracking.

What we don't collect

We don't process card payments, so we never see or store any payment card details. Payments are made by bank transfer or cash on arrival.

How we use your data

• To confirm and manage your reservation.
• To contact you about your stay — arrival details, directions, anything you need.
• We don't send marketing emails. If you hear from us, it's about your booking.

Who sees your data

Only us. We don't sell or share your data with anyone. The booking request form is the only point of data entry, and it goes straight to us.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as Argentine tax law requires (currently 5 years). After that, we delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time. Just write to info@lagenerosalp.com or WhatsApp us at +54 294 457-9476.

By using this website and submitting a booking request you agree to the following. We've kept this as short and clear as possible — we're not lawyers, and you shouldn't need one to understand the rules.

How the booking works

• Submitting a request doesn't confirm a reservation. We review it and get back to you within 48 hours by WhatsApp or email.
• The reservation is confirmed once you've paid the 30% deposit by bank transfer and we've acknowledged it.
• The remaining 70% is paid on arrival, in cash or by bank transfer.
• Please give us accurate contact information. If we can't reach you within 48 hours after sending the deposit details, we may release the dates.

During your stay

• Check-in from 2 pm. Check-out by 10 am.
• The cabin is for the guests listed in your booking.
• No smoking inside.
• Pets are welcome in the cabins marked as pet-friendly. Please keep them on a lead in shared outdoor areas.
• Please be quiet between 11 pm and 8 am — we live next door and have neighbours.
• Guests are responsible for any damage they cause. If something breaks, tell us — accidents happen, and we'd rather know.

Outdoor activities

The area around La Generosa offers rivers, trails and other natural spaces. You enjoy those at your own risk. We're not responsible for accidents outside the cabin.

If anything isn't clear, write to info@lagenerosalp.com and we'll explain it directly.

We want to be upfront about this: if you confirm a reservation and pay the deposit, that deposit is not refunded if you cancel.

Here's why: once we confirm your dates, we turn away other guests for that period. The deposit is what makes the commitment real on both sides.

What's at stake

The deposit is 30% of the total. The remaining 70% is paid on arrival — so if you cancel before your stay, only the deposit is lost. There are no extra charges.

If something unexpected happens

We're people, not a platform. If a serious and genuine situation comes up — a real emergency, a serious illness — write to us. We won't promise anything in advance, but we'll listen and try to find a reasonable solution together.

What we won't do: process automatic refunds for a change of plans, a better deal elsewhere, or a calendar mistake.
